As a SoCal transplant navigating life among the trees of the PNW, I am making room in my life for the things I have always put off – writing & travel – while still trying to be fully present as a parent, spouse & decent human. A lifelong Republican who has always identified as a social liberal and fiscal conservative, I have been experiencing second & third thoughts about politics, social-racial-economic relations, and the general social discourse in America today.
